As a Senior Javascript Engineer you will report directly to the Director of Technology to help improve our growing software engineering team by implementing modern processes, methods and tools to develop and deploy quality software. This person will be responsible for the Javascript API development ecosystem, including but not limited to GitHub, AWS, NPM and Node. The Senior Javascript Engineer will be responsible for understanding the Everdays product end-to-end to create reliable and robust APIs and databases to support front-end teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Have an expert level knowledge of Javascript, Node.js, Mongo and the systems used to compile, manage and deploy them, including NPM, Yarn, Webpack, and Vercel.
  • Integrate and build upon class-leading SaaS platforms including Salesforce, Twilio, Stripe and Docusign to build bespoke product solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, with an all-remote team of software developers
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Front-end data systems in React, Redux, iOS, and Android to support front-end teams.
  • Design software systems that solve real world problems, and are built to scale as the company expands into new opportunities and markets.
  • Aggressively deliver scalable, fast, efficient, and high-quality systems that help improve the Everdays software ecosystem.
  • Manage and improve a large scale cloud-based server architecture using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Manage resources to optimize product release schedules, while maintaining a manageable and scalable codebase.
  • Responsible for code quality through manual peer review processes as well as automated testing and code review.
  • Constantly improve system architecture to improve performance, stability and security.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT-related or computer science area of concentration, or equivalent training or experience commensurate with degree.
  • Minimum of 6+ years experience, including 3-4 years using modern Javascript DevOps tools.
  • Strong understanding of systems and software development life cycles, and using development tools.
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines, manage multiple concurrent tasks and large-scale projects.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and superior communication skills.
  • Experience with agile scrum development
  • Fluent in English
