As Director of Compliance, reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development and ongoing compliance and licensing processes that allow Everdays to sell and service life insurance, annuities, preneed, and final expense in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
  • Make recommendations for operational changes needed as a result of regulatory updates.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory matters and compliance risks and develops tools that assist staff with performing their responsibilities.
  • Keep abreast of proposed changes in regulatory requirements and ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
  • Perform audits and assessments on various compliance risks facing the organization
  • Coordinate, complete and monitor the professional insurance licensing and appointing process for the Company and its employees, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all compliance questions and concerns.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry practices and developments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert resource on assigned subjects on more complex issues.
  • Manage and minimize regulatory risk to the company by ensuring responses to regulatory examinations, inquiries, and investigations are complete and accurate and advocate for the Company's best interests.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 7+ years of compliance, regulatory, legal or business experience in insurance/insurtech
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and practices preferred
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and people skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrated ability to develop effective lines of communication with all levels of staff
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities


  • Life insurance producer license in respective home state (Preferred)
